Teaching Without a Timetable: Learning in a Place Where the Sun Does Not Set
About the thesis
For four months a year the station has no night, and the school on it has no bell. The thesis studies how children and adults learn when the day is not divided for them, and finds that attention follows meals rather than hours, that long projects thrive, and that the one thing a timetable did that nothing else does is end things.
